CHATSWORTH, Calif., Aug. 9, 2007 - IRIS International, Inc. (NASDAQ: IRIS)
today announced that it will request a five-day extension from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to the filing of its Form 10-Q for its second quarter financial results ended
June 30, 2007 because it does not expect to complete the preparation of the 10-Q by the initial filing deadline of August 9, 2007.
The Company said the delay in the filing is the result of emergency back surgery of its interim CFO two weeks ago and, while she has returned to work on a part-time basis,
this has affected the Company's ability to complete the work necessary in order to file the second quarter 10-Q on time.
IRIS has rescheduled its conference call to discuss second quarter financial results for Monday, August 13, 2007, at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, concurrent with the filing of
its Form 10-Q, and release of financial results at close of trading on that day.
To participate, dial 1-888-802-2268 approximately 10 minutes before the conference call is scheduled to begin. Hold for the operator and reference the IRIS International
conference call. International callers should dial 913-312-1271.
The conference call may also be accessed by means of a live audio Web cast on the Company's Web site at (www.proiris.com),
or at (www.vcall.com), the Web cast service provider. The conference audio cast will also be available for replay on both Web sites for 30 days from
the date of the broadcast.
Access to a recording will also be available for seven days following the conference call. Dial 1-888-203-1112 to access playback. For international callers, dial 719-457-0820.
The pass code I.D. is 4078398.
