IRIS INTRODUCES NEW iCHEM™ VELOCITY™ FULLY AUTOMATED URINE CHEMISTRY SYSTEM AND iRICELL™ COMPLETE URINALYSIS™ WORKCELLS AT IFCC CONGRESS IN AMSTERDAM

Major Milestone in Development of Company's Complete Urinalysis Portfolio

CHATSWORTH, Calif., May 31, 2007 - IRIS International, Inc. (NASDAQ GM: IRIS) announced today that its new iChem VELOCITY fully automated Urine Chemistry System, utilizing the Company's proprietary Kinetic Imaging technology, will be displayed at EUROMEDLAB 2007, the 17th IFCC - FESCC European Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from June 3 through June 7, 2007.

"This represents a major milestone for IRIS, expanding our international product portfolio as we work toward the goal of providing a complete line of fully- and semi- automated urinalysis workcells globally," stated President and Chief Executive Officer César García. "The iChem VELOCITY system is designed for ease of use and high throughput workload requirements. It is our first urinalysis system to employ our proprietary Kinetic Imaging technology, which will optimize the sensitivity and dynamic range of our urine chemistry strips."

The iChem VELOCITY with Kinetic Imaging leverages the Company's core image analysis technology to provide a complete and unique benchtop urinalysis solution. The iChem System is designed for medium to high volume laboratories that typically process more than 100 urine samples per day.

"The iChem VELOCITY embodies a major technological advance in urine chemistry, a sector of the laboratory which has not seen significant innovation in many years. The iChem VELOCITY, combined with our series of iQ®200 urine microscopy systems, forms the iRICELL Complete Urinalysis Workcell. This is also being introduced at EUROMED Lab.," Mr. García said.

The iRICELL Complete Urinalysis Workcells are provided in multiple configurations to meet individual laboratory workloads. These Workcells provide total walkaway operation for low, medium and high volume requirements.

The iChem VELOCITY is scheduled for international launch in the fourth quarter of 2007, and is pending 510K submission and clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and CE-mark approval from the European Union.

IRIS International will display the new iChem VELOCITY, iRICELL and all of the major products from Iris Diagnostics and Iris Sample Processing at Booth No. 79 in the RAI Amsterdam, Europaplein 22, 1078 GZ, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
